Durham Miners’ Gala 2017 : Saturday 8th July

The 133rd Durham Miners’ Gala will be held on Saturday 8th July 2017
Join the UCU banner at 10am in the Market Place then march with the banner to the Racecourse. Volunteers are required to take a turn carrying the UCU banner. Please contact Emma Alexander ealexander@ucu.org.uk to volunteer.
Speakers to include:
- Jeremy Corbyn, Leader of the Labour Party
- Ken Loach, director of ‘I, Daniel Blake’
- Angela Rayner, Shadow Education Secretary
Organisers predict over 200,000 people will attend this year’s Gala. Make sure you’re one of them!
