UCU Members outside South Tyneside College on Tuesday 16th June 2015
Members at South Tyneside College turned out in great numbers today for the first in a series of lunchtime gatherings to show solidarity in the face of proposed redundancies at the College.
Staff will be giving up their lunch break all week in order to protest at the loss of jobs proposed at the College. The cuts to the College’s further education budget could see 14 lecturers, two members of management and a member of clerical staff made redundant.
