In accordance with our Regional Committee Standing Orders the call for nominations was issued on Friday 18th March 2016.
Nominations were invited for twelve regional officer roles:
a) Chair
b) Vice Chair
c) Treasurer
d) Secretary
e) Chair, FE Sector Committee
f) Secretary, FE Sector Committee
g) Chair, HE Sector Committee
h) Secretary, HE Sector Committee
i) Equality Officer
j) Anti-casualisation officer (who should be a member on a casualised contract)
k) Minutes Secretary
l) Training Officer
- Members of the same institution shall not hold more than two officer positions at any one time, unless an office of the committee would otherwise remain unfilled.
- Nominations to be received by 5pm on Friday 15th April. No late nominations will be accepted.
- Nominees must be branch elected regional committee delegates.
- Nominees must have had their names notified to the Regional Administrator by Thursday 7th April as being branch elected regional committee delegates.

- The onus is on the nominee to check with their branch that their name has been notified to the Regional Administrator as being a branch elected regional committee delegate.
- Nominations must be proposed and seconded by branch elected regional committee delegates.
- The onus is on the nominee to check with their branch that their proposer and seconder are members of the committee.
- Nominees must confirm their consent to the nomination by 9am on Monday 18th April.
- The returning officer is Regional Official, Iain Owens. Nominations shall be submitted to Regional Administrator, Emma Alexander, who is acting on behalf of the returning officer.
- The submission of nominations and consents is to be done by email. Submissions to be emailed to the Regional Administrator.
