After leafleting and photo opportunities at Newcastle Monument, there was an outdoor rally organised by UCU Newcastle University branch. Speakers included TUC Regional Secretary Beth Farhat, Jude Kirton-Darling MEP, and UCU branch reps Joan Harvey and Geoff Abbott.
