As a regional officer, you are on the Regional Executive.
In order to become a regional officer, you need to be a registered branch elected delegate.
Think you are a delegate? Double check you are registered at ucunorthern.org.uk/regional-committee/registered-branch-elected-delegates

So, you are a Regional Committee branch elected delegate and you want to be nominated as Regional Environmental Officer?…

As our region has new standing orders, the nomination/election process is now very easy: You just need to be able to attend Regional Committee on Saturday 4th February in Newcastle, and know two branch elected regional committee delegates who will nominate/second your nomination. The nominee, proposer and seconder must all be branch elected regional committee delegates (not alternates) and must be at the meeting. During Regional Committee on 4th February there will be a verbal call for nominations. Unless there are multiple nominations the nominee will be declared elected during the Regional Committee.

Not a Regional Committee delegate?

In some branches there are more volunteers than delegate spaces and you have to be elected against others. In other branches there may well be delegate spaces available. Check the list of registered branch elected delegates. If there is a vacancy in your branch, speak to someone in your branch about becoming a branch elected regional committee delegate. But be quick, the next Regional Committee is on Saturday 4th February!
